SUMMARY:

First-Ever Facilitator Retreat in Nevada City
Sara announced the first-ever Shake Rising facilitator retreat, happening July 13–16 in Nevada City, California. Co-organized by Sara and Kitania, this women’s retreat will center around enjoyment, connection, and shared experience. The retreat home is immersed in nature and offers a sleepover vibe with a casual spacious schedule including cacao ceremonies, mini shakes, yoga/pilates, a microdose mushroom ceremony, hape ceremonies, and a chance to immerse with Nevada city community. The cost is $1,000 per person, with a sign-up deadline of May 15. Tracy offered to provide airport transportation. Sara encouraged facilitators to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Shake Rising's Business Model Discussion
Sara shared insights on the Shake Rising business model, which blends free and paid events and trainings. She emphasized the importance of creating a sustainable structure that supports both facilitators and participants. Ideas discussed included facilitators taking an active role in community cohesion through event promotion and participation in lead generation activities. Sara emphasized the distinction between her personal offerings and the larger Shake Rising initiatives. Sara also introduced "Shaking into Sovereignty," a new online container for facilitators to earn continuing education credits and work through internal blocks that may limit their facilitation.

"Shaking into Sovereignty" Program Overview
Sara outlined the upcoming "Shaking into Sovereignty" program: a 9-week online journey focusing on one energy center per week, followed by an integration session. The program is priced at $1,000 (early bird), with discounts available for facilitators. She expressed excitement about the in-person version and the possibility for other facilitators to eventually lead sessions online. Sara candidly acknowledged challenges during the program’s initial launch due to personal circumstances and reiterated her commitment to its continued growth.

Building Trust in Vulnerable Spaces
Sara emphasized the critical role of building trust and connection within Shake Rising’s vulnerable spaces. She encouraged consistent presence — both online and in-person — to foster comfort and trust among participants.

The Next Shake Rising Facilitator Training and Support for Current Facilitators
Sara announced the next Shake Rising Facilitator Training, which will take place in August. The training will provide facilitators with more structured support in taking their facilitation to studio. Continuing education credits are coming - stay tuned! Additionally, facilitators can gain access to more hands-on support through the live class initiative. Sara reassured facilitators that participation is flexible and there is no pressure to remain active if they need to step away from the community for any reason.

Refining Shake Rising's Language
Sara opened a group conversation about refining the language used to describe Shake Rising. The goal is to land on clearer messaging before the August facilitator training. The group discussed options like "fitness, dance, shaking, and affirmations" or "fitness, dance, and energy work," weighing concerns about accessibility versus depth. Alex and Katina suggested replacing terms like "energy centers" or "chakras" with "aspects of self" to create more relatability. The discussion reflected the ongoing challenge of naming the multidimensionality of the practice in a way that resonates widely.
